Kyouei Design
Kouichi Okamoto / Kyouei Design. Born in 1970 in Shizuoka City, Japan.
In 2006, Okamoto established Kyouei design. And held his first solo exhibition called "TWO DAYS & FOUR PRODUCTS" at Shizuoka Prefectural Museum of Art.
In May, exhibited at ICFF in New York as a part of the designboom mart.
and His Products have received high acclaim in the West especially, and exhibitions are held all over the world including Japan, Sweden, France, USA and Korea.
He is expected to be one of the leading designers of the next generation who covers art, music, and design.
Products from Kyouei Design are stocked in designers' brand-shops and museums in over 25 countries, such as Droog, Colette, Atlanta Design Museum, and London Design Museum,etc.
His creation doesn't stick only in the products, his activities are expanded to the lighting installation and collaboration projects with some companies.
His creations are based on his philosophy -simple, minimum and humorous.-
